Cookie Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Receipt X uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in our web application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner.
2. Cookies We Use
At present, Receipt X uses only strictly necessary cookies. These are essential to operate the application and cannot be switched off in our systems. Specifically:
- Session cookies — keep you signed in to your account for the duration of your session.
- Authentication cookies — securely store your authentication token so protected pages load without repeated sign-ins.
- Security cookies — help detect and prevent malicious activity such as CSRF attempts.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, performance, or third-party tracking cookies.
3. Why We Use Them
Strictly necessary cookies allow the Service to remember your authenticated session, keep you safely signed in as you navigate, and protect against common web security threats. Without these cookies the Service cannot function.
4. Controlling Cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is required under UK GDPR / PECR. You can nevertheless control or delete cookies through your browser settings — see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Receipt X.
5. Future Changes
If we introduce analytics, product-usage, or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and present an appropriate consent banner before any such cookies are set. Material changes will also be communicated by email to account owners.
6. More Information
